5 Things Your Glove Compartment Shouldn’t be Without
I’m one of those people who likes to be prepared for every and any situation the road might throw at me. I think we all like to be prepared on the road in some way, it gives us a sense of security. The glove compartment of your car or truck is a great place to keep basic items that may come in handy or help you in a bad situation.
Here are 5 things that every glove compartment shouldn’t be without..
1. Travel Flashlight
This is probably the most important item you can have in your glove compartment. I can’t even think of all the times I wished I had a flashlight with me before I finally ended up getting one. Having a travel flashlight really comes in handy when you need to walk through dark areas (unlit parking lots, etc..) that may appear unsafe at night. Just remember to put it back in your glove compartment when your done!
2. Map or Pocket Atlas
Yes I know, almost everyone seems to have a GPS these days. However we all know how reliable electronics can be sometimes, and that’s why having a traditional backup map or pocket atlas can really come in handy.
3. Pocket Knife
Having a pocket knife is always a good idea, well except in an airport these days. I prefer a Swiss Army Knife with a nail filer (that alone has come in handy more than I can remember), scissors, a bottle opener, and of course a sharp blade for protection or in case of an emergency.
4. Tire Pressure Gauge
As we’ve talked about before, routinely checking your tire pressure is a must. Under-inflated tires can be a driving hazard and cause a serious car accident. I always include a basic $3 tire pressure gauge in my glove compartment so I can check my tires on the go.
5. AAA Membership Card
Having an AAA Membership is also a must. I always include an AAA Membership Card in my glove compartment so if I ever have any car problems when I’m traveling I’m covered. I recommend getting one for your wallet as well – just in case you ever lock your keys in your car.
What do you keep in your glove compartment?

thanks for some of these ideas..I make sure I keep my car phone charger in my glove box all the time, my luck Id get a flat tired and my phone would go dead.
