Shopping for your next Chevy just got easier!  Chevrolet has announced that they’ll be among the first automakers to create a shopping app for the iPone, iPod touch and iPad.  Customers will be able to research and locate their desired vehicles via their mobile device.

The Chevrolet Showroom app is now available at no cost via the App Store.  It features the entire line of Chevrolet cars, trucks and crossovers.   This app will allow shoppers to choose from a variety of interior and exterior colors as well as search for a matching vehicle in a nearby local dealership.

According to Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing, “the Chevrolet Showroom app allows customers to shop nearly anywhere and share their virtual vehicle with their friends.  This is a natural addition to the ways people shop online for vehicles today.”  Consumers will be able to locate a vehicle, save it to their device then share it with others via e-mail or even Facebook.  There’s also a “click to call” feature that easily allows customers to call their local Chevrolet dealership for additional information on a desired vehicle or even request a quote from them.

The current version of the app includes a “Featured Gallery” with historical photos and highlights of the 75 years of Suburban and some of the most memorable Corvettes.   It also incorporates a dealer locator, current offers and incentives, and even information on the trim level of the desired vehicle.  There’s even a convenient payment and affordability calculator available
