It’s Wednesday and regular Cars for Girls readers know what that means – another fun link fest of Cool Cars & Awesome Sites Around the Web!  Today’s links take us all over the country and all around the interwebs, so I hope readers will find something fun, interesting or amusing in today’s travels.

The Cross Bronx Expressway, that fume-choked expanse of concrete and steel that slices through New York City’s mainland borough, occupies a uniquely tragic place in the history of urban planning.  Check out more of the worst intersections ever, over at Forbes.  While you’re there, you might want to take a look at their picks for the Most Dangerous Vehicles of 2009 – hopefully your car isn’t on the list!

Over at Autoblog, they’ve got all the deets on the Magna Steyr Mila EV concept car from the Geneva Auto Show, including some awesome pics.  This is one serious looking automobile.

CarAdvice.com has the latest on the Tata Nano Europa which will be available in Europe and the UK and officially hits the streets in India on March 23.

Have you been looking for a message and information board to join that’s specifically geared towards us girls and our love of racing, modification and car shows?  If so, look no further than the Octane Girls Forums.

My “shout-out of the week” goes to Anything on Wheels, who has determined the Best Car Names of All Time.  Check it out and weigh in.

IMCDb is just what you think it is: Internet Movie Cars Database.  This handy reference site lists makes and models of cars from the AC Cobra to the Zil 111 and everything in between, that have appeared in almost any film you can think of.

Speaking of movies, Hecklerspray chimes in with their Top 26 Coolest Movie Cars, while Rotten Tomatoes gives us a list of the 50 Most Memorable Cars of All Time (the list is from 2008, but it’s still timely, totally awesome and worth a look).

Car Lust has an awesome post they’ve deemed, Last Rides, and no, they don’t make His and Hearse models.

If you have to drive in snow, be on the look­out for snow­men.

According to a recent survey, Canadian women say they feel they’re getting short changed when it comes to auto repair with 42 percent saying they were quoted a higher price for the same auto work than their male counterparts.  On the plus side, 7 out of every 10 females surveyed said they knew how to check engine oil, more than 50 percent said they could change windshield wipers and one-third said they were comfortable changing a flat tire.  That’s what I like to hear you go, girls! :)

The GMC Acadia crossover utility vehicle has taken home top honors in the field of pet/animal safety and Ride Lust has all the details – and cute poochie pics, too.

Beware of warranty scams. The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to be extremely wary of telemarketing calls and mailers that claim their auto warranty has expired or is about to expire. BBB advises that the deceptive solicitations could persuade car owners to purchase an extended auto service contract of questionable value.  Click here to read more.
