Do You Have a First Aid Kit in Your Car?
Most people completely overlook putting together a first aid kit for their car, simply because it’s not something you’ll need to use every day. Although we never plan emergencies we can be prepared for them. It’s always good to be prepared when out on the road, for any situation, especially a medical emergency. A simple first aid kit can go a long way, preventing a minor medical issue from becoming a major one.
What Does a Good First Aid Kit Include?
- Scissors
- Tweezers
- Vinyl gloves
- A Whistle
- Cotton Tip Applicators
- Antispetic Towelettes
- Alcohol Prep Pads
- Triangular Bandages
- Standard Adhesive Bandages
- Butterfly Bandages
- Sterile Gauze Pads
- Roll of Gauze
- Adhesive Tape
I recommend looking into the AAA 121 Piece First Aid Kit on Amazon. The kit retails for around $24.00 and includes everything mentioned in this post and then some. It also comes in a travel case, perfect for your car. There are a lot of other pre-made first aid kits out there as well – in the end your best bet is to probably just buy one. Hopefully you’ll never have to use it, but its ALWAYS better to be safe.
Can you think of anything else you would recommend in a first aid kit?

I recommend a few peppermint candies. You would be amazed at how often a diabetic with low blood sugar will have a wreck.
Tylenol or some other form of pain reliever and a blanket.
