Kelley Blue Book recently announced an awesome new feature to their website (kbb.com), which allows consumers to see at a glance which cars are the best buy of the week.

The new feature, called the 5 Great Deals, showcases five most noteworthy deals on new vehicles each and every week.  The Kelley editors sift through the latest pricing, vehicle incentives and information every week and then select the top five best deals of the week for consumers. 

Initially launched in December 2008 as a ‘Deal of the Day’ feature in the news section of the website, they’ve kicked things up a notch to include more vehicles and information.  In addition to listing the models and incentive information for each week’s top 5 Great Deals and linking to more information concerning each vehicle, the editors also provide helpful details, including a brief synopsis of individual features.  What’s more, consumers can locate local car dealers in their area, request specific price quotes and get pre-approved for a car loan and more, all from the website. 

Auto manufacturers who have made the 5 Great Deals list say they’re seeing an increased interest in their models as a result of the feature program. For example, on January 8, 2009, Kelley featured a deal offered on the 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe, resulting in a spike in traffic to the Infiniti G37 pricing reports on the website that day.

This is definitely a win/win for both consumer and website and it makes shopping for a new car a little easier, especially when the information is in an easy to read and at-a-glance format.
