Planning your Spring break but can’t decide where to go? In the early stages of planning a car trip for summer vacation but want a different kind of cool trip? While chances are that landing a seven-figure film deal will never be more than a silver-screen dream for most of us, anyone can be a star at the following hotels – where countless classic celluloid scenes have been shot – and all come highly recommended by the folks over at TripAdvisor.
Just in time for the Academy Awards, here are ten top movie hotels, and while some are merely a few hours away, others would make the perfect treat for a cool summer car trip.
California

This grand hotel, set atop the steep incline of Nob Hill, has reached equally great heights on the silver-screen. Ever since Alfred Hitchcock shot Vertigoat the Fairmont in 1958, the hotel has become an iconic part of San Francisco and many movies, including Towering Inferno, Sudden Impact, Junior and The Rock.
