Special Pricing and Promotions on ‘09 and ‘10 Models
Recently, some of the top auto makers have released pricing for their 2010 models and some special pricing incentives for 2009 models as well, so I’ve listed a few here for Cars for Girls readers. Maybe you’ll find something that fits your budget.
1. Toyota Camry
MSRP for the 2010 Toyota Camry will range between $19,395 for the Camry sedan with six-speed manual transmission to $29,045 for the XLE with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Toyota Camry Hybrid comes in at $26,150. Toyota says this price on the Camry Hybrid is an increase of $281.00 over last year.
The 2010 Camry standard, LE and XLE grades will feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine equipped with variable valve timing with intelligence producing 169 horsepower. This engine can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission (excluding XLE) or a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. For sporty performance, the SE grade gets additional tuning and 179 horsepower – 21 more than the previous four-cylinder engine.
Fuel economy is estimated at 33 mpg highway, 22 mpg city and 26 mpg combined for the 2.5-liter four cylinder engine with the six-speed manual transmission.
A 3.5-liter V6 automatic will be available on the LE, SE and XLE grades. The 3.5-liter DOHC six-cylinder engine with dual VVT-i has EPA mpg estimates of 28 mpg highway, 19 mpg city and 23 mpg combined.
The 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid is estimated to get 34 mpg highway, 33 mpg city and 34 mpg combined.
2. BMW
BMW is trying to make things a little easier for consumers in this tough economy by introducing the two payment program on 18 selected 2008 and 2009 models. BMW will make the first two payments – up to $750 per month/$1,500 maximum – for vehicles financed through BMW Financial Services.
For remaining 2008 models, the program will end on March 2, while the program ends on March 31 for 2009 models.
3. Volkswagen Jetta TDI
The Jetta TDI clean diesel, which was named Best of the Year” by MotorWeek in its 2009 Drivers’ Choice Award competition, starts at $22,270 and is eligible for a $1,300.00 Federal Income Tax Credit as an Advance Lean Burn Technology Motor Vehicle.
The Jetta TDI clean diesel was recognized by MotorWeek as the best overall winner among 13 categories. The Jetta TDI was the first 50-state compliant clean diesel car available in the States, as well as the first diesel ever to win a “Best of the Year” Drivers’ Choice Award. Jetta TDI also took top honors as “Best Eco-Friendly” vehicle.
While the Jetta TDI is estimated to receive 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway, leading third-party certifier AMCI tested the Jetta TDI and found it achieved 38 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.
4. 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Hyundai has announced pricing for the new Genesis Coupe, starting at $22,000 for the 210-horsepower, 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine 2.0T model, while the 306-horsepower, 3.8-liter, V6 engine model will set you back about $25,000. The highest priced is the Genesis Coupe 3.8, V6, Track ZF Six-Speed A/T Shiftronic at $31,000.
5. Nissan
Although Nissan continues to offer one of the lowest priced vehicles in the United States – the 2009 Nissan Versa Sedan 1.6, at $9,990 – Nissan has rolled out special financing for its Look Closer, Nissan Delivers promotional campaign.
Among the financing offers that are highlighted in the campaign include a 199/month, limited time lease or $1,500 cash back on the Nissan Altima, a $199/month, limited time lease on Nissan Rogue, $329/month, limited time lease on Nissan Maxima or Nissan Murano, and 0.9% financing or $2,250 cash back on Nissan Sentra.
