The Latest & Greatest in Travel Planning
I think most people are always looking for the most convenient, quickest or cheapest way to plan a trip, whether it’s a family vacation or a quick weekend get-a-way. Well, look no further than Wanderfly.com! Evidently, for the past three months, 7000 registered users tested it and now it’s available to the public. Admittedly, I travel far less than the average person; however I had to check out the site to see what it was all about.
You might be wondering what the big fuss is about? Wanderfly boasts that in as little as five clicks, you can find a trip recommendation tailored to your budget, travel dates and interests. The site searches over 20 trusted sites, including Expedia, Foursquare, Yelp and Lonely Planet so it’s able to recommend a trip (including a destination, flight, hotel and activities).
In my opinion, one of the coolest things about the site is that you’re not forced to specify a destination. For example, I listed that I wanted to spend under $500 and only travel for 3 days. Seconds later, it suggested a trip to Nebraska and gave me specific hotel information as well as activity suggestions. Not only is it a great way to plan a trip to somewhere specific but it’s also awesome for the last minute traveler who wants a few days away.
According to Evan Schneyer, CEO and co-founder, “On average, travelers spend 7 weeks visiting 25 sites* before they know exactly what they want, yet there’s no easy way for them to get inspired online. We are advocates for travelers, first and foremost, because Wanderfly is a solution to frustrations from our own experiences. Travel itself is such an inspiration, and we believe the fun should start from the very moment you decide to go. It’s our mission to spark people’s journeys with meaningful recommendations and an amazing user experience.”
So, if you’re looking for the next best thing in travel planning, I urge you to check out Wanderfly. It’s quick, simple and a nice alternative to the typical travel planning sites we’re all so used to!
