Will You Be NASCAR’s All Star Couple?

A reader sent me a link to an awesome contest over the weekend and I thought it was worth posting here – especially for all of you married ladies out there who love NASCAR.

Best Western International, and two-time Daytona 500 winner, Michael Waltrip, are looking for the nation’s most devoted NASCAR couple. The lucky ‘All-Star Couple’ will win a trip to the 25th Running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 16, and driver Michael Waltrip will preside over the renewal of the winning couple’s chosen vows.

Now and through April 27, you and your sweetie can visit the Best Western Racing ‘All-Star Couple’ promotional site at www.bestwestern.com/allstarcouple and submit a brief story – 1000 words or less explaining why you believe you and your spouse deserve to have your vows renewed during the 25th Running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race weekend.

According to the site, couples are encouraged to reflect on their devotion to NASCAR and each other – perhaps with anecdotes about how they met at the track, visited the races during their honeymoon, watch the race together every weekend, etc.

Entries submitted through the site will be judged by a Best Western panel of judges, including Waltrip.

All entries will be judged on the compelling nature of your story, relevance of entry and devotion to NASCAR. Once selected, the winning couple will receive an awesome trip, which includes round-trip airfare to Charlotte, lodging, tickets to the race and even local transportation! As an added bonus, Best Western will also award the winning couple with a travel card valued at $1,000.00 that can be used at any of the more than 4,000 Best Western properties worldwide.  Think of it this way you could use it for a first, second, or even tenth honeymoon!

Let me know if you enter and of course, let us know if you win!
